Volkswagen counted on the local know-how of the Vok Dams team in China to bring its exhibition stand to life at Auto China 2012 in Beijing, and the design team delivered with a cohesive, cross-cultural communication concept of diverse media and performance elements.

The highlight of the stand was a multimedia performance-show in five parts. Here, visitors could experience the “Blue City Beat” in a skillfully coordinated harmony of sound, light, live-performance and media with all their senses. The dynamic Blue City Beat moved through streets of an abstract town constructed of three-dimensional models. It initiated and invigorated, it created, converted and enriched, filling the town with life, emotion and innovation. The precise interaction of the large-scale LED-projections with the live show of dancers, drummers and performers created a thrilling, breathtaking experience.

Volkswagen’s brand values –  “innovative”, “providing enduring value” and “responsible” – were orchestrated in a spectactular manner in the different parts of the show.
This highlight-show was complemented by a fashion show in which Frida Weyer presented a specifically designed fashion range artfully interpreting the respective features of the presented cars.

In the 21st Century Club the Volkwagen Beetle was put in the spotlight with the modern clubbing sounds of the internationally acclaimed DJane Miss Nine.

With this allround performance VOK DAMS set the tone for Volkswagen in Beijing and struck a chord with the international visitors, as the manifold posivite feedback of the visitors of the exhibition stand showed.
